pb1, no offense intended, but I'm not following where your disagreement with what I wrote falls.

Amusingly enough, ESPN drew the same comparison between Favre and Jordan (and Evander Holyfield) this morning in a feature. They said it had far more to do with the "drug effect" of competition, which I do believe has a lot to do with it.

As for the injury, I didn't fault Favre for not mentioning it last year, just pointed out that everyone else had to go into damage control because he chose to tell the media that everyone knew about it.

This is far from brilliant, I am really disappointed

there is almost nothing in common between basketball not a team game and football a serious team game in any event

why not just 'assume' for a second that as DUMB as it might sound to you that favre is actually reacting in the moment and telling the truth as he believes it

it was not that long ago pundits that would not listen were telling us Sherman and Favre were joined at the hip, Sherman is gone and that means Favre is going

when it was evident to anyone looking that favre had tuned him out

that is a very different problem

I think this was a disservice unless you think Favre should have forced disclosure of the injury, and would that not have been taking the GMs job? Second guessing him?

There is nothing Favre could have done, according to your terms, that was correct. Except lie.
