Chris, I'm not sure if you're passionate about that play, or passionate about defending Aaron Rodgers, period.

That pass was low. It didn't have to be. I just watched the DVR of the play and he could have stuck it on his numbers just as easily.

If Lee had his feet under him, that's an easy touchdown, because you would just dive down with the ball. But he didn't. He was falling backwards, and as a former receiver, that's a hard catch to make.

Rodgers could have helped his own cause with a pass right on the numbers. That's not a dis on Rodgers, who I like. But, he made his share of bad throws (and bad non-throws), and he's taken accountability for them.

...makes no sense whatsoever. First of all, Donald Lee IS being paid as a tight end and to CATCH the BALL. Secondly, Rodgers made a very catchable throw and said TE dropped it after being hit in the stomach. You really need to process what your arguement is at legnth. I don't remotely understand your criticism of Rodgers on the play it's completely unfounded. Spin away...

Chris, we're not paying Donald Lee $13 million to catch that pass. We're paying Rodgers that much to throw it. It may sound trite, but that's the way it is.

Rodgers is being paid that money for the gifts HE brings to the position, specifically his mobility, his low interception ratio, his teamwork skills, and most of all, his ACCURACY.

I never said Lee didn't have accountability on the play. In fact, both tight ends fell down on that play, something that is a complete waste of space on that kind of play.

But, Rodgers has shown in the past that he can not only put the ball on a dime, he can put it where only his receiver can catch it. The ball was low for a player who was in the position Lee was it, which was nearly sitting down. You can't meet the ball when you are stretching falling backwards.

No, it wasn't an easy throw, and it certainly wasn't an easy catch. But, this is what we're paying Rodgers to do, and we're paying him rather well.

Go back and watch the tape on the Rodgers fumble. Barbre and College were cut blocking the ends for a quick hitter. Rodgers opted out for whatever reason leading to the fumble. That was on Rodgers, not Barbre or College.

We could agree to disagree on a few items here but you're dead wrong on the Donald Lee drop. You live in a fantasy land to find any justification for Lee dropping that pass. When you're hit in the breadbasket you catch it. Ask yourself why Lee was falling backwards? Poor positioning/poor reaction.

Look, every defense this year is making a simple wager against the Packers: I'm dropping my linebackers and one safety shorter than usual to take away slants and the inside. I will give you the deep pass with only one safety over top and man coverage. I BET my rush gets to you before you can complete a pass. So far, defenses are winning most of the time.

Rodgers is phenomenal but he's carring everything, defense and offense on his back. They're going to get the kid killed.

your comments on Barbre are on and shows there really was no improvment by him, it was a shift to protect him that made him look effective, there is a big diffenence.
