I still say there is a LOT of that conversation that most of the Press is still keeping a secret. Only one, possibly two Writers have spilt the milk, as it were, and they are no longer writing commentary all that often, for the major publications these days. That evidence alone should make people&#39;s eyebrows go up a bit. At least one of them, anyway. I&#39;d like to be a fly on the wall of the Board of Director&#39;s meetings when his name comes up. Wouldn&#39;t you?<br /><br />As far as losing to the Bucs - I wasn&#39;t all that surprised myself. But, the real investigation as to why hasn&#39;t been done yet. Do we have ANY insiders who the players might talk to outside of the major players? A friend of mine helps Tauscher find isolated places to go fish now and then. And, as Favre was pulling his final stunts with GBP, Tauscher showed up on Bohner&#39;s Lake (Hard-on Pond, for you locals), near Burlington, WI - and Markus was mostly in Favre&#39;s corner at the time. Might still be, for that matter. I wonder if he even realizes what other issues there were even before he arrived? Tauscher wasn&#39;t around in 1999.<br /><br />I won&#39;t be disappointed in the McCarthy Experiment, if this is the end of it. I would caution however at the next pick. We had a legend around and wasted almost a whole decade not getting there. Great QB&#39;s are hard to find. We still have one in the fold.<br /><br />What is it they say about GREAT Quarterbacks? How they FIND A WAY TO WIN...? What&#39;s happened since 1997..? My brother and I were two who were very suspect of the ousting of Sherman from the beginning. We tried to focus on the positives but you laid them out precisely and there are far from enough of them since Sherman and then (most importantly) Favre, left town. <br /><br />Both TT with his drafts and Mike McC with his play calling are acting as if they are gnostics with some &quot;secret formula&quot; that no one else knows - and it is NOT working. <br /><br />I love your point, and I have said this too, that after the house cleaning on the defensive staff, there is nowhere else for the buck to stop this year. <br /><br />Much of the TT/McC favoritism focused on &quot;transitioning&quot; and somehow a lot of people forgot that any GM/HC should be about &quot;winning&quot;....at least in Green Bay.
